Sermon series title: Have Mercy On Me O God

Have Mercy On Me, O God

We all live with a past. We all regret things we’ve done and circumstances we’ve been embroiled in. We’re learning more and more, from modern psychology, that our past has a significant bearing upon our present and our future. Living with deep regret, shame, and guilt is the reality of so many people, from all walks of life. Is there a way we can deal decisively with our past actions, attitudes, and thoughts? The Bible goes a long way to addressing this question through the teaching of repentance. Repentance is to turn around from one way of living to another.

Over the next three weeks we’re going to explore one of the most famous biblical passages about repentance: Psalm 51. This Psalm shows us the heart of repentance, what it is, how it works, and what it should produce in you. The essential message of the Bible, on this topic, is that there is a way back from your past – there is a way to new life. Join us in this 3 week exploration.

Sunday Evenings, 6:30pm. 19 March – 2 April 2017.

The Evening Service is an ordinary Christian worship service that is simple and accessible. No frills, no fuss, and no trendy brand name. We’re not aiming to be the next hippest thing, but rather to provide a meaningful environment where you can come with your questions about life and faith. Each service will consist of a short time of music and a 30-minute sermon, followed by a time of Q&A where you can ask anything you want related to the topics discussed.

Come along, listen, share your opinions and ask your questions.
